The Shaw Kids' First Day of the 2014-2015 School Year!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Today started the 2014-2015 school year for my kids! I think the first day of school is the day when parents and kids officially trade facial expressions because the summer is ending and school is starting. I know I woke up with a positive attitude, a good mood, and ready to get them out the door and off to school! I think I was more excited about them going back to school than they were!

Yeah... sorry, not sorry. LOL. Anyway, I was out buying school clothes for my son a few weeks back at Ross when I stumbled upon this really great chalkboard in a frame! At first it didn't look like it was gonna work and so the lady at the register said to save my receipt and if it didn't work very well then bring it back and they'd give me my money back. Well, I used it today for the kids' pictures and I have to say I'm gonna love using it!

Now, I don't know why but he seems to think he's got what they call Swag now days or what I call Pimpin'.... no, my son is not a pimp but this kid has some skills for sure. I mean he will go to the corner and sell rocks (the hard things, not drugs lol) and actually get people to buy them! He amazes me so much sometimes my jaw drops!
These are my daughter 'M's school pictures! I can hardly believe she's in the 8th grade now! Next year, I'm gonna have a Freshman! Yikes!
Anyway, so today got off to a great start, let's just hope it all goes well for the entire day! 'M' actually signed up to be a cafeteria worker so she will get paid with free lunch! What a great way to teach her responsibility as well as getting her lunches paid for! Score for me as well as her!

Well, now that the kids are all off to school, my husband is off to work, I am off to do housework! I have GOT to get this house in order for when I start my job in September, I'm not going to want to do it then. Plus I have a ton of laundry to get done and put away.
